An example problem detected after VMotion completes is that result of the VMotion is that the VM is now attached to a different layer 2 broadcast domain, which is typically a critical problem that can cause connectivity problems (e.g., the VM can no longer reach other machines or networks it needs) or security problems (i.e., the result of the VMotion is that the VM has been moved from behind a firewall to being in front of the firewall).
