How Wireless Internet Has Improved Over The Years

What started out as a slow, dial up connection has evolved into accessible internet from any location, on any device. Wireless internet started out as a router installed on the cable or phone modem receiver device and had a limited range. You could not go far from the signal source or your connection slowed, or even stopped altogether.

Now you can access the internet right on your phone wich is something that hadn’t even been dreamed of less than twenty years ago. The question is, how much further will we be able to go with this technology? (more…)

Timeline Of The Progression Of The Internet

The Internet did not just pop up in the late-90s like some people think. It started even earlier than that. Thirty years earlier to be exact. The first message sent between computers was from the UCLA Network Measurement Center to Stanford Research Institute. The message was “lo” which at the time did not stand for “lol” or “laughing out loud” as it’s known today but “log-in”, the system crashed in the middle of the test. That happened on October 1, 1969.
