Rich Pelavin - Co-Founder & CTO

Rich Pelavin has a long and successful track record of developing innovative network infrastructure technologies.  Prior to co-founding Replicate Technologies, Rich was Director of Engineering at Cisco Systems where he led research and development in network management.  He joined Cisco through the acquisition of NetSys Technologies which he also co-founded, and was a key inventor of their flagship intelligent network management product.  Rich brings to Replicate extensive experience leading engineering teams focused on a broad range of technologies, such as grid computing, utility data centers, networking, virtualization, and provisioning. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) from the University of Rochester. Rich holds numerous patents in networking technologies, and is co-author of a book on AI planning and temporal reasoning.

Ken Novak - Co-Founder & Chief Architect

Ken Novak has more than 25 years of experience in Wide Area Network (WAN) design and implementation. Prior to co-founding Replicate Technologies, Ken was CTO at CGNET, an innovative IT management company providing IT services to non-profits around the globe. Throughout his career Ken has worked in a dozen different countries throughout Asia, Africa, and Latin America building data centers and developing software-as-a-service solutions. Additionally, he has served as a Reuters Foundation Digital Vision Fellow at Stanford University where he studied the evolving impact of energy issues on IT and development. Ken received his B.S. in Computer Science from Yale University.
